Helping to Build Families with
Ovum
Donation and Surrogacy
At the Family Fertility Center (FFC) we provide
access to Egg Donation and Surrogacy with an old fashioned approach
to building families.
We offer an abundance of nurturing, sensitivity and love. Whatever
assisted reproductive method you choose, FFC is available to help
you through each step of the process, acting as counselors, facilitators—and
family.
Our Director, M'lyn Butterfield,
has over 30 years of experience in the medical field specializing
in surrogacy, ovum donation,
infertility,
psychotherapy,
nursing and education. We offer a level of professionalism that
ensures confidentiality, dignity, and understanding. We also
offer the inside
knowledge that only comes from having brought a baby into the
world through assisted reproductive technology (Director M'lyn
Butterfield gave birth
to a son with the assistance of an egg donor). Additionally,
our recruiting staff have all experienced infertility or been egg
donors
or surrogate mothers.
Fertility Options Available Through the Family
Fertility Center
Ovum Donation
Egg donation is best
suited for women who are able to carry a pregnancy to full term
yet who are unable to provide the egg necessary for conception.
An egg is retrieved from the ovary of a carefully screened egg
donor. It is then fertilized in a laboratory by sperm from either
the partner or a donor. After three to five days it is transferred
into the womb of the mother.

Surrogacy
Surrogacy is one of
two fertility options available through the Family Fertility Center.
With this method, a surrogate mother carries the baby to term
and gives the baby over to the parents at birth. The egg may be
provided by the intended mother, or by an ovum donor. The eggs
are then fertilized in a laboratory by the intended father's
sperm or by a sperm donor.
