Heather Thomson
My name is Heather. I have an AA in Business Management
and Software Applications. I began my working career in food service
and then moved on to retail where I worked in management for a major
supermarket chain. I worked there for eleven years in various departments
on the non-grocery side.
I then moved on to food service again. I had a great
time being a server and cocktail server at a major hotel for a several
years before being promoted to management in catering sales. I planned
major social events such as weddings, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, anniversaries,
etc.
After being a gestational carrier twice, I began
working at Family Fertility Center. I enjoy my work here very much.
I came here with the knowledge of what it is like to carry a child
for another person, and knowing how rewarding it is to me. I have
now learned so much more. It brings me joy to help a couple, or
individual, build their family; knowing all that they have been
through to get to this point. I believe in this process, and being
able to meet new donors and surrogates, share my own story, and
being a support person for potential surrogates is an added bonus.
I am the surrogate coordinator here, and recipient contact as well.
I can be reached at 925-977-4850. I do check my email often at ffc1992@aol.com
Raquel Chavarria
Hi, I’m Raquel. I have an AA in Liberal Arts
and I am a certified Medical Assistant. I have been in the medical
field for about five years. I worked with a prenatal doctor for
2 years in Oakland, California. I enjoyed my job very much; helping
women stay healthy and carry they’re pregnancies to term was
a wonderful experience. I am now working with Family Fertility Center
and I can honestly say that this has been the best job. Knowing
that at the end of the day you played a part in changing people’s
lives for the better. I am a very giving person, I love to see others
smile, and this is why we are the best. I am the bookkeeper here,
as well as a donor, gestation carrier, and recipient contact person.
